If only life could be this simple…
Although not burnt, but I sure did got a good tan from 4 days of sun and sea at Koh Samui, Thailand. I always love beaches as they give me a calming feeling. And sometimes bad news can also come with plenty of good news! When we checked in at our resort, the receptionist told us that our agency accidentally cancelled our rooms. I can feel my blood pressure going up and just when I was about to start making sense of it, they told us that the agency did re-booked our rooms. Since the resort no longer have the earlier rooms that we wanted, they have to upgrade us to their suites (at no cost to us) which has a private swimming pool and jacuzzi. One of my friend burst out laughing as this was exactly the suite that she initially joked about booking. It is their most expensive suite and they only have 1 unit costing 15,400THB per night! It is right at the beach with a stunning private pool overlooking the sea. OMG!!! We were speechless, everything was just perfect. We spent most of the time enjoying the beach and pool, some sight seeing and just doing nothing but relaxing. If only life could be as simple as this everyday…;;)
You know, the more we travel, the more we open our eyes and see things in a different light. When we experience different culture and learn new things, sometimes it is quite humbling. Working in the corporate world makes us all a bunch of self-centered people, always demanding everything to be done our way. Not forgetting always trying to enforce our views on other people. Well, I am also guilty of such behavior. But I have begin to change (for the better) and after experiencing a wonderful trip to Samui, things have become clearer. Appreciating the simple things in life, even if it is just merely seating by the seaside and letting time pass you by. No phone calls, no work and no worries. Just you and the sound of waves. That’s how life should be…

Haha…actually if you compare the beach, Redang has a way better and clearer beach. Koh Samui’s beach is just OK, but Koh Samui has more stuffs since its a huge island such as shopping, sight seeing, etc.
